Cody Gentry is taking full advantage of finding a home in Americana music, a genre that is a catch-all for songs that stray from the beaten path.

Cody has found his voice and honed in his skills in every music hall, bar, and coffeehouse he has played, with his only intention being to connect his music with the people listening. Cody has spent the last five years playing music around the southeast, all the while listening, studying, and seeking what every writer needs: Inspiration. The road for inspiration took Cody back to his home, the vibrant and often perilous foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

With a desire to pay homage to the foothills and the storytellers of his youth, Cody recorded his first album, Blue Ridge Gold. This debut album was recorded in Nashville and produced by Dean Miller. Blue Ridge Gold is set to release this year, of which two singles have been receiving radio airplay on satellite and terrestrial. The album tackles subjects of love, hearbreak, victory, and vindication through clouds of fiction and reality. Cody now travels with two bandmates, of whom are multi-instrumentalists and lifelong friends. Performing as a three-piece band, Cody Gentry has crowds singing along while focusing on the carefully crafted lyrics of his songs.
