Dylan LeBlanc, a Louisiana native with ties to Muscle Shoals, is coming back to the Skunk farm, y’all, and this time he’s bringing his buddies The Pollies to help him rock and roll.
LeBlanc found himself, at 23, worn out after years on the road. True to his troubadour form, he got his life together and wrote some songs about it. His third LP, Cautionary Tale, lands comfortably in the contemporary singer-songwriter canon. Lilting pedal steel, brushy acoustic guitar strums and tender piano licks suggest Americana, but string sections pull LeBlanc in a different direction. These richer textures and unexpected twists result in a record that sounds beautiful from start to finish.
